    Summary of Application Experience

12/16 Waitlisted at vandy, YAY! it's better than a rejection...

    01/12 Rejected from Stanford. Damn...
01/20 Just when I thought it was over, Cornell decides to give me a chance.
01/30 Mmmmm. Chicago rejection, must have been the n00b secondary i sent. becareful what you write!
02/09 Uh.... wth? there's still invites out there? AECOM here i come!
02/11 UCSF... HIGH PRIORITY? not another deferred decision.... i can't take this anymore :(
02/15 USC rejection. stupid sc, now im glad they lost. (ok i'm just being bitter,)
02/22 Yay! Waitlisted at NYU. At least it's not a rejection. Although i'm really piling up on those waitlists :( Come on schools, just one acceptance, please...
03/03 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! hAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BITCHES! ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm breathless.
    i heart you WASH U!!!!!! !!!!! !!!!!!!! !!!! (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in case you didn't get it, i'm excited!!!!!!!!!)
03/05 Wow, I actually get to withdraw from a school. Sorry Albert, I just don't feel like spending another 250 for a plane ticket. I hope someone else gets a chance, tho! It feels good to be able to say no to schools before they say no to me so I'm adding Boston and Mount Sinai to this list. It's ok guys, don't worry, it's not you, it's me.
03/07 Wow, this was totally unexpected. I can't believe I'm lucky enough to be graced by two of the most prestigious schools in the US. This is insane!
03/09 Harvard rejection, who didn't see this coming? Anyone? Anyone at all?
03/10 ( Guess med school in LA is out of the question. It's ok UCLA, no hurt feelings, maybe residency tho?
03/15 Upper tier waitlist at Michigan! Yay!
03/22 Rejected by Penn. it's kinda dumb how they wait to officially tell me that i'm not accepted when i haven't even interviewed.
03/23 Waitlisted at Cornell, not too shabby considering i had a terrible interview. the slightly thicker then normal envelope threw me completely (thought it was an acceptance, well, almost).
04/02 Got my waitlist from Yale. I'm still feeling so good from Duke's second look so, i could care less. HAHA! Yea.. Withdrew.
05/08 Whew, this was a tough choice, but I am most definitely a Blue Devil at heart. GO DUKE!!!!!!
05/11 Finally got rejected from Irvine.
I love this line: 'The fact that you were motivated to apply to such a competitive program says a lot about you as an individual.'
My response, 'the fact that you consider your school to be better than this fine piece of Blue Devil ass says alot about your program.'
05/19 Got a Semi-response (email) from Davis asking if I wanted to be on the waitlist. HELL NO!
05/20 OK, OK I get it, you guys want me to withdraw from my waitlists... yeesh. Just sent an email to Hopkins today.
05/21 Yea, i know, i suck. I just don't like turning down possible opportunities. For once in the application process, I actually have some control and it's hard to give it up. Sorry to those of you still on waitlists, I know it's tough. Maybe NYU and Vanderbilt will be good to you?
05/22 Apparently, my parents have been hiding the fact that I was rejected from Dartmouth. I was wondering why I hadn't heard back from them. WEIRD parents. Tsk tsk tsk.
06/23 Dropped off the Waitlist at UCSD.
07/23 It's 2 days before I leave for Duke. I'm both excited and anxious to leave Cali, but hey, this season has been an incredible experience and I am ever thankful to be able to visit all the schools that I did. I can only hope that many other people will enjoy opportunities that I have been so lucky to receive. Good luck to all of the applicants for 2007 and beyond. I'm outta here!
