    Summary of Application Experience

Reapplicant after a dismal cycle last year that brought only two interviews and one waitlist.

I attribute my lack of success in the previous cycle to a sub-par MCAT (29Q), failure to list the MD shadowing I began last July on my AMCAS and late completion of applications due to a slow letter of recommendation.

I did everything in my power to improve my application for this cycle. MCAT is now 33S (OK, not stellar). I began bench research which I will continue through next summer. I have also added additional clinical experience, shadowing a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Finally, I continue to work full-time as a police officer.

I know that I am 2-3 MCAT points short from the medians at some of my reaches. Still, I feel that I have a lot to bring to the table with regard to contributing to the success and cohesion of a class, as my current line of work is all about working well as part of a team. Gunnerism--we call it \'one way\' in the police world--is simply not tolerated.

Comments are very welcome--please do not be shy!
