Summary of Application Experience
March 2004 - Finally received the official rejection letter from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. SIGH It took long enough. Just received REJECTION from Einstein post-interview. Very next day, received an acceptance off the waitlist at Drexel! WOW this process is very much like a roller coaster. Very sad about Einstein, but happy about Drexel indeed. Still, no word from other schools: NYMC, Temple, NJMS, Yale, & Howard.
Feb 2004 - Officially rejected at Jefferson. Rejection over the phone by UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson. NJMS, NYMC and Temple are still trying to figure out if they want to give me an interview. I still have hope. Finally word from some of these phantom schools. I am pretty sure Upenn and Yale are rejections as well. Upenn has already sent out their last invitations for interviews. Yale, not so sure. Just waiting on: Howard They seem very slow and didn't help over the phone. Not even sure my file is complete. Sometimes I wish I could have afforded to apply to more schools. But so far, I am happy with this application cycle. Also heard from Drexel and the ruling was waitlist. I am comforted by the fact that they accept alot of people off the waitlist. :-/ No word from any other schools.
Jan 2004 - AECOM and Drexel went well. I loved AECOM while Drexel was only so/so. If I get into AECOM, I will have a tough choice between there and UMDNJ-SOM. I am excited to not have to worry about reapplying next year though.
Dec 2003- things are going much better expected and I can't be happier. I loved UMDNJ-SOM and it was so perfect, I am probably going to withdraw all my applications. Goodluck to those out there worrying...keep the faith..I know I will.
Oct. 2003 - Took the august mcat, so applications are just being completed at schools. Now it all begins...will check back in with results (positive I hope).
