Brief Profile:
Above GPA is for my undergraduate classes only. Graduate GPA at BU was 3.8
3rd time applicant (third time is the charm!!!) as I applied in '03-'04 and '04-'05 without any luck. Between the second and third application round I completed my classwork for my masters in medical science. I'm graduating from BU with my MA in Medical Science in May '07 (I just submitted my thesis this March). And then... 3 months off to relax, then off to UMass I go in August!
Extracurriculars: 5 years working on crisis/suicide hotline (4-6 hours/week) 2 years organizing large charity event on campus focused on domestic violence awareness and prevention 5 weeks teaching in Ghana
Extensive Research in 3 labs over the course of 6 years resulting in numerous publications, abstracts and poster presentations. Lab research was all 'clinically' based - ie I worked with patients on a day-to-day basis as opposed to working with cells on a bench lab.
