Summary of Application Experience
Very humbling and totally unpredictable. I probably could have gotten away with applying to fewer schools, but since it seemed totally random who gave me interviews and who didn't, I could have eliminated the wrong places and screwed myself over. It was just so terribly random! Good luck to all of you future applicants -- apply broadly, that's my advice. Use the MSAR to carefully evaluate your chances.
Also, don't get the flu before the MCAT. I was sick all week but I studied and studied and didn't let myself get well. Thus, I needed to throw up during the entire first section of the day (physical sciences) which was, to say the least, distracting.
