I finished all of my apps in August and am still waiting as of Nov. Yikes! But I've heard from many people that they weren't interviewed until around now or later. My bro interviewed at SLU in Feb and was accepted shortly thereafter.
Interviewed at Rosalind Franklin shortly after the new year arrived. Felt like I did above average - better than i expected, considering i forget everything positive about myself when i'm being quizzed. met the dean, though, who happened to go the same undergrad institution as i did. that had to be a sign, right? anyway, i was waitlisted. however - i was instructed by more than one person to write an email expressing my sincere interest in attending the school and that the school was still at the top of my list. i chose to write the dean since his email address was posted online. he responded in fifteen minutes - literally - and said that he'd send a note on to the head of the adcom...
***IF YOU ARE WAITLISTED, PLEASE WRITE A LETTER EXPRESSING YOUR INTEREST IN ATTENDING THE SCHOOL. IT REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE***
interviewed at med u ohio (at toledo, now) in feb. felt even better about this school and my interview than i did at rfu-cms. i was again rewarded with a letter notifying me that i had been waitlisted... on the same day i received an acceptance letter from rfu-cms! hallelujah! i can't believe that day actually happened... you won't care about being wailisted at one place when you're accepted at another... you'll know you're going to med school no matter what. HOWEVER. med u ohio was my first choice at this point, so i wrote another email to the adcom expressing my interest as well as GUARANTEEING them that if they accepted me, i would attend their univ. then, i waited some more...
in mid may, i received a letter from muo informing me that i'd been placed in the 'high priority' section of the waitlist. that was a good feeling, because that ranking was accompanied by an explanation that said if all went as it had in years past, i had a very good chance at getting in. nice.
late may. received an acceptance from muo. euphoric feelings. i was accepted at TWO med schools. i wasn't sure i'd get into one when this whole process began a few years ago. muo is closer to my gf, who's at osu, it's cheaper by far than rfu-cms, and i am more attached to muo than i am to rfu-cms. chicago would've been nice for diverse rotations, but the fact of that matter is that i'll see just as much in toledo as i would have in chicago.
