Summary of Application Experience
1) APPLY EARLY ( my recs werent sent out until sept and my secs didnt go out until oct, which i think hurt my app at some places, esp. Yale where there was also a glitch in the processing and it took until Jan for my app to be complete)
2) THIS PROCESS IS SOOO RANDOM ( I didnt even get interviews at Mt. Sinai or NYU, but got into Columbia and Einstein and was waitlisted at Cornell. How is that for random?)
3) DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING OTHERS TELL YOU ( I got a call from Stanford after they i had read like 100 times that they dont take anyone off the waitlist AT ALL, ANY YEAR)
4) NAIL THE MCAT, ESP. IF YOUR GPA IS LOW (i think the only thing that gave me so many interviews with a 3.3 science gpa was my 38 Mcat and the harvard ugrad name)
5) BEST OF LUCK !
