Summary of Application Experience

So far it's been pretty much hurry up and wait. Finally done with apps so happy.

10/24/04 - Got into two schools already and that's been a real load off my mind.

11/28/04 - Waiting to hear back from 3 schools. Still have 6 interviews to go on.

12/5/04 - 4 to Go

2/17/04 - So basically it's waitlist city. Glad at least about UIC as well. I guess everything will be revealed in May...or June/July/August/September.

5/26/04 - I guess this is the last update. I know for sure where I'm going.

Basically patience is the main thing to hold onto throughout this process.

Interviews seem to count a lot. Every school I thought I interviewed really well at accepted or waitlist/accepted me. Every school at which I bombed or mediocred my way through my interviews, I was waitlisted then rejected.

I guess if your stats are not stellar, then you will get waitlisted, but doing well in the interview will put you higher up on that list. Also letters of interest and one of intent seemed to have worked out. Just keeping schools updated on a less than psychotic fashion helps.
