    Summary of Application Experience

I retook the MCAT and improved four points so many schools were waiting on the results. All of Osteopathic interviews plus Indiana University was granted with my old scores. The way AMCAS calculates my GPA it come out to a BCPM=3.05 undergraduate and 3.73 graduate while the Overall GPA=3.14 undergradute and 3.72 graduate. Now the AACOMAS calculates my GPA differently with my BCPM=3.59 undergraduate and 3.72 graduate while the Overall GPA=3.42 undergradute and 3.71 graduate. The reason for the discrepency is that the AMCAS used both grades for repeated classes while AACOMAS only uses the most recent.

    SUNY Upstate
I was extremely disappointed with the SUNY Upstate decision. I really enjoyed the schools curriculum and student body. Both interviewers were impressed with my extensive experiences, however I ended up on the alternate list. I assume it was due to my AMCAS GPA. First they will offer all acceptances, then go through the 'High Priority' list and finally come to the 'Hold by Committee' list. I don't anticipate hearing anything before July if at all.

It says rejected but I am still waiting to hear for invites and decisions so this is an error.
