Brief Profile:
I just completed a 5 year enlistment in the USMC. Took classes at night at various local CCs (10 units/semester) while working 60+ hours per week (when not deployed).
Being active duty didn't really allow a lot of ECs, but I am playing catch up now. Here is what I am doing:
Shadowing ENT - 5 hours/week Volunteering at a free clinic - 8 hours/week Volunteering at VA Hospital in ER - 3 hours/week VP of Veteran's Club on campus
Hoping my military experience will help compensate for ECs.
I transferred to an OOS 4 year school in January 2008 (but still a resident of CA). I'm taking the MCAT on July 8 (the scores above are from AAMC practice test #3, which was taken prior to ANY studying). Considering USUHS or HPSP (not just for the money, I enjoy military life), unless I get a good aid package somewhere (or get into a Texas school).
