Summary of Experience:
- Secondary received 10/1/13 - Not going to complete this most likely.
Summary of Experience:
8/22/13 - Rejected from the MD program. Didn't meet the qualifications for OOS candidates.
9/13/13 - Didn't get a reject flat out, but an update that said "A status update will be mailed to the address provided on your MSTP application." Not really surprised but not a good way to start of an app. cycle.
Summary of Experience:
Not really surprised to get the rejection now that it's so late in the cycle, but disappointed to not be able to check it out. It was really my only chance left to stay near my family.
I have a sister who goes here so I was pretty bummed about this. I wish they had gotten back to me about it sooner since it seemed like they're pretty good about it. It was close to home and family but I really disliked BU when I was in Boston as an undergraduate.
Summary of Experience:
Their program isn't fully funded and there would be a pretty big difference culturally but still a little disappointed to not get to check it out.
Summary of Experience:
-Rejected from MSTP on 10/09, switched to MD.
-Withdrew on the 21st. I've already been out to the east coast for interviews and I really don't think I'd be willing to cough up the amount of money they want for a regular MD.
Summary of Experience:
-This is my absolute first choice. The campus is beautiful, research is exploding here and the city is amazing. Really excited but I know the interview counts more here than at a lot of other schools.
-Ow. Pretty bummed out about this. Wasn't really impressed with the medical school itself but the research is pretty amazing. Hoping to end up back out here but maybe avoid the medical school administration.
Summary of Experience:
Middle of nowhere and all the research that was interesting is being done on the main campus in State College. Two of my interviewers were pretty late and the facilities seemed pretty lacking. Would be interesting to attend and work with the unique genetic stuff that they have because of the Amish community.
Summary of Experience:
First interview invitation!
Holy crap my first acceptance. I don't know how to feel.
Never thought I'd like this school, let alone matriculate but it really was impressive enough to take me from hating it to loving it in one day of interviewing. Excited to start here in July.
