    Summary of Application Experience

Undergraduate GPA from Truman was 3.20 - too much fun, not enough studying

4.0 post-bacc GPA @ UTEP earned while accumulating 52 basic science and math credits - hopefully a strong senior year @ Truman and 4.0 at UTEP will show a solid upward trend.

Took the 5/31/07 MCAT and was pretty disappointed w/ score. Had scored btwn. 35 and 40 on AAMC 3-10 w/ an average of 36-37. My 2 35's came during the last week leading up to the exam. Most upsetting was that I scored 2 points below my average for PS and 3 below my best score (14 - achieved on 4 different AAMC practice exams). I got caught up on the 1st PS passage for approx. 20 minutes b/c I was arrogant enough to think that I could rush thru the remaining passages. As a result I think that many of my calculations were completed sloppily. I also think I experienced some serious burn-out as I had been hitting the TPR prep books hard since december. Take my advice: if you start MCAT studying early, scale it down a notch during the last couple weeks and don't lose discipline on your pacing during the real deal!

Had to postpone UT-Houston and UTSA from 9/7 and 9/17, respectively to 10/12 and 10/15 b/c of the birth of my 1st child!!!!! Yay, my daughter is finally here!
