Brief Profile:
Not a great MCAT and it's probably a hindrance being older, but I picked the right school and the right school picked me, so I'm perfectly fine with it. Good luck to you all. I think if you do slightly better on the MCAT you'll do okay.

Summary of Application Experience
Got everything in pretty early, but didn't realize I could have had letters sent ahead and submitted AMCAS before MCAT scores (duh!). This would have sped things up a bit. Now I'm just waiting and waiting.
9/25/07: Been complete at many schools for a while now--no rejections, but no interviews, either. Hoping the ones I chose are not too much of a reach.
10/17/07: Still no word--over two months complete at many schools. Not worried, though. I believe what people are telling me about being patient and I'm confident that I'm an excellent candidate.
10/18/07: Confidence pays off: invited to interview at Downstate. Fantastic! I *heart* NYC and especially Brooklyn!
11/XX/07: UPenn showed a status change--being held for possible consideration later. A definite maybe, but not a 'no'. Huh.
1/26/08: First rejection. Letter from AECOM. No word from anyone else.
1/31/08: ACCEPTED to Downstate! This is perfect for me. I am over the moon.
Got a few rejections later in the game, like June. Withdrew from the rest. Doesn't matter.
