    lessons i learned:
    1) earlier is better, but don't sacrifice quality
    2) when you are wait listed, make sure you keep in constant contact with the dean
    3) no matter which school you end up, what matters most is that you're on your way to becoming a doctor
    4) if you didn't get in, reevaluate what you did wrong. don't beat yourself up, just learn from your mistakes. reapply if med school still feels right. or try grad school/get a job before you re-try this path.
