09/08, I have gotten various acknowledgment from national schools saying that my application is complete, but I am not really paying attention to them at this point since my focus is on Texas schools. I interviewed at UTMB and was fairly impressed. The faculty is incredibly nice and the atmosphere is very noncompetitive. I received an interview invite from UTSA and I'm debating on whether I should go or not. Stanford never sent me their secondary, but I don't think I have the willpower to write a few essays for their school because my University classes have started up. I looked at Duke's six essays and tried to brainstorm ideas for a few days, but came up with nothing. I decided not to fill out their application, but I am not going to withdraw it till they say something. Hell, I paid $30. Next week is my UTSW interview and then Baylor after that. Pretty nervous because I'll be up against some very well qualified applicants.
09/11, Well I came to my senses and decided that I should go to my San Antonio interview. It also turns out that my Harvard application is still not complete because my two new LORs still haven't been finished. *sigh* Whatever. Mayo sent out its secondaries a while back ago and I didn't get one so I am guessing I got screened out. Oh well.
10/27 Er... so apparently Harvard wants me to interview with them. Completely unexpected since I never finished sending my LORs. Turns out their curriculum doesn't require a thesis like I had originally thought. The New Pathway program seems amazing. I don't really think I'll get in, but at least I can visit some friends in Boston. Baylor acceptances have started going out, but I haven't heard anything yet. Still hopeful, but not really :P. I think they have a very heavy emphasis on the interview and I don't think I did too well.
11/15 I GOT INTO UTSW!!! YES!!!! My life is complete. UTSW was one of my top choice schools. Now I don't have to look at the clock at 5PM everyday now and wonder if Baylor is going to call. Oh man I am so STOKED!
