Summary of Application Experience
I'm still in the process of putting up dates, hopefully it helps!
KEY: r - Received Secondary C - Application complete! I - Invited for interview i - Date of interview R - Date Rejected W - Date Waitlisted A - Date Accepted
7/29/06 Submitted AMCAS 8/29/06 Amcas verified
Limiting factor in doing secondaries was time (get that primary in early!) Taking a year off to work @ a hospital doing research (which as I found out from the interview circuit is something a lot of people do)
2/8/2007 First acceptance - Drexel! This school surprised me - new/remodeled facilities, students are great.
2/15/2007 First CA acceptance - USC! Really enjoyed my interview here ... Except ... still waiting on some love from the my UCs ... blue and gold ...
3/21/2007 So far, just a bunch of rejections. Started to scope out apartments in LA area. UCs where are you?
5/21/07 Thanks to anonymous poster for comment, finally got me to update this thing === hopefully you hear good news. Unfortunately I got a hold/rejection from UCLA. But in a way, its good news, because I'm really excited to go to USC!
So yep its after May 15th, and I'm officially decided on USC. I will miss being a UC student though :(
This is what I've been telling future applicants Apply early! End of July was kind of late to send in my primary, and I waited a long time to send in my secondaries!
