Brief Profile:
I am not the typical applicant. I was a scholarship athlete at my undergrade institution. Basketball took up all of my free time as a result I have limited research and shadowing experience. -75hrs research experience (one summer) -10hrs shadowing primary care physician
As a clinical laboratory science major I believe I have made up slightly for my lack of clinical experience. -40+hrs hospital hematology lab -50+hrs phlebotomist -40+hrs hosital blood bank lab -50+hrs hospital microbiology lab -40+hrs hospital clinical chemistry lab (all done over two year period)
I volunteer with the speacial olympics yearly and tutor local midde school students in the off season. I am also a Sunday school teacher for children 7-12 at my church.
