Summary of Application Experience
1/5/07 I've decided on Southwestern. I'm still waiting to see if I get any other interviews, but in my situation it is better to decide early than to wait until two weeks before orientation when I finally get off the waitlist. After the match and everything is set in stone, I will withdraw from my remaining schools (unless they decide to reject me first!)
I'm very excited about Southwestern and the opportunities I will be given there. If anyone has some knowledge about the school or feels the need to comment about my application year, please do!
Recently, I've noticed that I might not have gotten in anywhere had it not been for my state schools. No doubt if I hadn't been from Texas I would have applied to a greater number of less competitive schools. Still, God bless Texas.
I don't really know what to say when the box above asks me if I applied as an URM. My race is White, my etnicity is Cuban. I speak Spanish, but was raised in an upper middle class household. That is easily apparent on my applications and admissions commitees can make of it what they will.
