    Summary of Application Experience

7/19: I finished most of the secondaries I recieved, and am just waiting on the Pre-med committee to finish my letter so my file is complete. I've already recieved my first interview invite (U Pitt, 9/6!)

7/31: Have received all of my secondaries except Duke. The only ones I'm still working on are Wake and Stony Brook. Hopefully since I actually have a day off this week I'll be able to finish those up.

8/3: My committee letter is finally being sent out, after three weeks of going back and forth with the chairperson waiting for him to get it out.

8/9: Wake has been submitted, schools are starting to receive my LOR, so I'm getting complete at places.

8/15: Best birthday present ever- interview invite at Rochester!
8/15 (con't): So to make today even better- interview invite at Georgetown!

8/23: Got a phone call at work for SUNY Upstate interview. I scheduled it for September 18th, and figured I'd just stop at home between Rochester and Upstate, only to find out that my parents will be at my younger brother's Family Weekend.

8/24: Received my letter today from SUNY Upstate saying I'm complete...after having gotten an interview invite of course.

09/10: Came home from work to find an e-mail from MSSM asking me to come interview in December

    09/30: Vermont Invite!

10/06: Got a phone call today from Downstate asking why I hadn't let them know yet whether I was coming for an interview or not. Evidently they sent me an e-mail about a month ago that I never got, and being as the interview is supposed to be for next week, I don't have time to make the arrangements for it. So I called the woman back, and rescheduled for November.

10/20: So I got a phone call this morning from Rochester with my first acceptance!! YAY!!! And then I return from classes an hour later to find a waitlist from Pitt. :(
It was pretty crappy timing, and Pitt was my first choice too. BUT, Rochester was a very close second, and I'm still going to be a doctor! Yay!
