Summary of Application Experience
6/25/06: Still on some waitlists, but AMCAS has been verified (I only sent it in with UConn listed). I plan on adding all my other schools this week or next week. MCAT is from Aug '04...April '04 was 9,9,10 O This is my third application cycle.
6/26/06: Removed Georgetown and Loma Linda, kept BU, Tufts, Creighton, and NJ state schools
6/28/06: Added the listed schools to my AMCAS and paid....now already a total of $910...kind of makes me want to throw up :)
7/31/06: Although I have 'completed' many apps so far, this only means I have sent in the secondaries, I am still waiting on 'complete' notices from most schools
Great, I just realized I applied to Wayne State, and that I never added Tulane, so they are back off
9/8/06: Just got back from EVMS. Interview went very well. And I got interview invites to Tufts and Creighton!
9/12/06: Tufts interview was also wonderful! Really expensive, but I really like the school...and it's in Boston, so I will gladly ignore that price tag.
9/21/06: Penn State, one of the schools I actually knew I would be happy at and wanted to go to....thanks....
9/28/06: NYMC interview went well. They said they won't send out decisions until December though. School is nice, and students are happy and helpful, unlike how many SDN interview feedback ppl make them seem. I like how it's actually a campus, and not some random building w/ an auditorium.
10/3/06: called EVMS. Waitlisted. This sucks.
10/8/06: interviewed on the 6th. The school, facilities, students, and opportunities at MCW are great. Not too sure about the interview though...let's just say, some students need more training because they definitely do not have good interviewing skills, as in giving them.
10/15/06: back from Creighton. I really liked the school. The campus is really nice (since it's on the undergrad campus especially). Omaha also seems to be a cool city.
10/17/06: email from Tufts. I have been placed under 'active consideration'. This is not the WL, and I will be reviewed until a decision is reached.
10/20/06: rejected from MCW the other day...but i was expecting it. Today sent in primary for three osteopathic schools. i just can't stop spending money, i need to hide my wallet for a while.
10/27/06: back from UVM. Interview went very well. I really really liked the school (facilities, education, people) and the area!
11/3/06: UConn interview went really really well. Three interviewers, and they all rocked. And, hmmm, let's see...I called Creigton, and I got accepted!!!!! I don't really know what to think right now :)
Note: last year - WL at penn state, drexel, uconn, and evms also rejected post-int at GW
