Summary of Application Experience
As a Kentucky resident, I am appalled at the fact that I had to take my education out of state at a private school without even being the opportunity to interview. U of L was particulary rude to me. I was ridiculed for my MCAT score by the admissions director and told that I would never stand a chance of acceptance there. Yet, minority applicants with lower GPA's than myself and lower MCAT scores (a 22 was accepted) was accepted there. I think that the admissions director at U of L needs to learn sensitivity and compassion for applicants. Please don't tell me that my MCAT score is inadequate when other people are being accepted with equal or lower scores. This is nothing but a cop out. I think that UL needs to send a copy of their 'scoring sheet' to determine who gets an interview or not to all rejected applicants to let them know how to improve. I am not upset over the fact that a person with a 22 was accepted, but I am upset with the fact that my MCAT score was used as a reason for rejection. If I am rejected for my test scores, then every applicant with the same scores should have been rejected.
User #588 took the old MCAT and scored a 26 which is in the 55th percentile of all old scores.
We converted this to a 502 on the updated scale which is in the 57th percentile of the updated MCAT. We also converted User #588’s section scores as follows:
