    Summary of Application Experience

6/13 Allopathic Application submitted. I don't care about my MCAT score, my GPA is low enough to filter out anything but the bottom... :(

6/19: One joy of being on the West Coast is that I'm still up when the scores are released. 29M. It just confirms that I can't write. I'm a little disappointed because I was getting 30 on the practice tests. Nothing I can do about it now.

    6/20 Allopathic Application verified: Yea!

6/27 Almost done with the DO schools. I just need to proof read the application. I just noticed that my application is alittle New York heavy. California's great, but after 21 years out here, its time to leave.

7/10 Yea, another 2 secondaries. Still 2 LOR to go till I complete my file, and I still haven't finished my DO app.

7/13 12:48 pm: I swear I will complete at least my DO app and 1 secondary today. One of my remaining LOR should be done by this weekend (I talked to the prof yesterday), so its not like I'm really delaying anything, yet...

7/18: Still havn't sent in my DO or secondaries yet. Still missing 2 LORs. Ohh, and I'm about to die from taking the equilivant of 20 units (2, 4 unit, 5 week courses [1 bio, 1 poli sci] and 1, 4 unit, 10 week course [physics]) while working 20 hours a week [5-6 at the water park, 12 on the ambulance]. To my latest commentor, nope, I didn't put that in. Bio/Life Science is just how MDapplicants are set up.

7/21: First rejection yesterday from Wake Forest. What ever. As of 12:30 PDT, I've finally submitted my DO application. Now it's time to start getting the secondaries done. Also talked to my parents today. Apparently I got a secondary request from Loyola. Yea!

8/15: Recieved Drexels secondary. Horaay for no essays on it. I finally submitted my first secondary yesterday, Loyola. 3 days before its due date!.

8/24: Still waiting on 1 friggin LOR from my research professor. Time to get a calling. So far I'm done with NY Med College, GW, and Loyola. Drexel would be done (or almost, I need to get a good picture), but their website was down...

8/29 So, I've submitted a few secondaries. I haven't actually 'submitted' GWU because I need to go print out a photo, but it's all typed up and all. I finally got my last LOR in, but the prof didn't send in the wavier for it, so I need to see her tomorrow. Now I'm finally going to be able to complete my files!

8/31: LORs are in at my school, time to send the first wave out!

9/3 So, I go home for Labor Day and I find New York Tech has sent me a very thin letter. I'm thinking, great, rejected pre-secondary from another school (BTW, thanks Wake for saving my parents' your secondary fee). Nope. Apparently, they only give secondaries to people who get interviews. They just want my letters. Looks like UCI is gonna get another 5 bucks on Tuesday!

Well, post mortum update: I got into the new Tufts Master of Biomedical Science program. I guess I get to start a new one of these again in June.
