Summary of Experience:
II from Arizona campus on 11/9, rejected from Minnesota campus on 12/17.
I loved everything about Mayo. Cutting-edge tech, small classes, world-class opportunities...I love the selectives idea where you get to customize your education according to your interest from early on. Excited about the Science of Health Care Delivery curriculum. Obviously this campus of Mayo doesnt have residency stats yet but its essentially the same curriculum as Rochester, so I dont expect them to be very different from the past Mayo match stats. If I get accepted here I will definitely attend. Sent a letter of intent the next business day after the interview, hoping it tips the scales in my favor.
Summary of Experience:
UCCOM was really nice, the people were friendly, and Cincinnati is close to home for me. The MMI interview was really different, and its hard to get a feel for how well you did, but I appreciate that UC is committed to using selection methods with empirical basis. Im not totally sold on the curriculum.
Summary of Experience:
Apparently my II got eaten by their email server, so they called me up and offered me an interview spot just before Thanksgiving. Really friendly place; nice anatomy labs and study areas, but the building seems a little small for all the M1s/M2s to all be there all the time. They seem to have a lot of community partnerships; a variety of clinical sites and Im really interested in their free clinic downtown.
