I was expecting this. My interview went horribly, I cried during the interview! I also didnt feel a good vibe from the school during the tour, students didnt seem that friendly at all. Not a loss.

9/26 I felt very blessed to receive an II from Drexel, especially since theyre one of the most applied to schools in the nation. This will be my first time visiting the east coast!

9/26 Completed unexpected! I was so happy to get this interview yesterday. Received the invite at 6 am just as I was pulling in to work. Im so excited to be visiting Cleveland. I have family in the area, so if I decide to attend CW itll be pretty awesome to spend more time with them.
Flights are so expensive! Trying to see if I can stack it with my Cornell interview to save on costs.

AHHHHH OVER THE MOON! This is a total reach for me so I was super surprised to receive the invite at 9:04 am this morning. Being born and raised in LA my whole life, it would be pretty awesome to live on the east coast. Ive always wanted to do this, and maybe Cornell will offer me this chance. Open interview dates are in the beginning and middle of October... but flights are so expensive on such short notice! I will see if I can push it back to November and stack it with my Case Western interview, flights are a bit cheaper then.

9/26 I remember receiving my interview invite while I was at the library, working on other secondaries. I was so excited to get an interview at a California school. Funnily enough, this is the closest medical school to my home. I felt blessed that I would be able to start out interview season with a school closer to home, this would ensure being well-rested the night before.
I scheduled my interview for five weeks later in September because I was going to do some traveling the last couple weeks of August and I wanted ample time to prepare for my interview, plus I still needed to purchase some interview clothes.
Interview day went very well, and USC definitely moved up to the top of my list after interviewing there. There were around 7 other interviewees in the morning session, and all of us, except for one, were from California. Dean Arias was so friendly, and she definitely put my nerves to rest before the interview. I had a student interviewer first. He was super laid back, and had a list of questions he asked, taking notes down after each response. Afterwards we had a break, where we sat in on a lecture on the renal system. We then had lunch, which was at this super fancy place and was really good. Afterwards I had my faculty interview. She was a physician, and also very friendly. It was a bit more conversational, but she still had a list of questions she asked me. Both my interviewers and I were able to connect over coming from refugee families, although from different parts of the world.
I loved the opportunities that USC offers: required scholarly research project, P/F for the first two years, ample free time to pursue our own interests, clinical rotations abroad, and I think what drew the most is the County hospital. Being able to work with the poorest and the sickest of the surrounding community-- that is pretty amazing.
10/17 Accepted!!!! Over the moon. Ran around the house spinning my puppy around. Poor dog, he was asleep.
