06/16 - I am nervous about the April MCAT, I felt TERRIBLE coming out of it. I was averaging 30+ on practice tests but the real thing felt 10X harder. I have already submitted my application, I guess on faith, and will take the August MCAT if need be. Man I am nervous....just 4 more days to wait...
06/19 - Well my fears were realized unfortunately. I don't know what to do, retake in August or just roll with it and see where it takes me. I am really dissapointed in my PS score, I was averaging higher than that. I would appreciate any advice
06/20 - After consulting with my advisor and friends I have decided to not retake until next year if I need to. I added a few schools to up my chances. Wow, hopefully I will be pretty busy with secondaries and interviews.
6/26 Getting two secondaries already has made me realize how expensive this really is going to be. Just two secondaries cost $190...ahhhh and I have possibly 21 more!
7/10 Even though this is darn expensive I am crazy about getting more secondaries. I check my email 1,000 times a day.....this should be a good week!
7/24 Only 7 to go! Then it is all the ADCOMS hands...that is kinda scary but also a relief.
7/27 FINALLY! My committee letters were sent. It took them forever. I know I am just being a paranoid anxious premed but I worked hard to finish those secondaries right away, the least they can do is try and get my letters off in a timely manner!
8/04 Almost done! This has been a writing marathon. In some ways it has been good though, it has forced me to again ponder on the reasons I have chosen this route. Also it is good to finally write about some of the experiences I have had. Only 6 more!
8/14 4 left, I am surprised that Drexel has not sent theirs. The others screen so there is no surprise there. I also realized that I still had the wrong GPA above, I had posted 3.3 and 3.5 which is what my school calculates but my AMCAS GPA is now posted. I wish they would just use my school GPA!
8/17 Two rejections so far, not that they weren't expected but they still suck. One interview invite would make everything all better...
12/08 Well, it has been awhile since I have updated this, but I am excited to report that I have 2 interviews scheduled!!! Finally! One tomorrow at Drexel and the other not til the first of Feb at VCU. I hope I get a few more to up my chances. We will see. School is going well, it feels good to be almost done (2 weeks) with my undergraduate career.
