    May

    10: Grades entered into AMCAS, ordered MSAR from AAMC.
    12: Received MSAR. Geez, there is a lot of information.
    22: Printed out AMCAS. Is this what my whole life so far boils down to?? Editing. Editing. Editing.
    24: Complete overhaul of my personal statement, trying to get the focus on medicine and a little more...personal.

    June
    15: AMCAS is ready to go. C'mon MCAT.
    19, 9 pm: MCAT scores released. I feel fine about my score.
    20: Submitted AMCAS, it is 'Ready for Review'.
    23: VERIFIED! I AM SO EXCITED!
    26: I started to get secondaries. OMG! I took my application picture with my digital camera. To Walgreens!
    27: Submitted my first secondary to MCW, and my second to OSU!
    30: Columbia is in. That essay about satisfaction was difficult. Woo!
    Summary: Submitted 3 Secondaries! And, we're off!

    July
    3: No secondaries today. Guess the first Monday in July being a HUGE secondary day, is an urban legend.
    5: Received Rush. Waiting on final edits for Pritzker. Ordering a copy of my birth certificate for Rush's secondary.
    7: Submitted Pritzker. Let's go for the email! :)
    10: Finishing up Rush. Received/Submitted Wright State. Received/Submitted NYU.
    11: Recieved Mount Sinai, UPitt. Notified that 3rd LOR Writer had mailed out letters. Mailed out LOR paperwork to UPitt.
    12: Submitted UPitt. I really like their website.
    13: Recieved UIC.
    15: Got word that Loyola had mailed out secondaries. This next week I will be checking my mail compulsively. Great.
    16: Submitted Mount Sinai. Submitted Rush.
    17: I am missing LOR's at schools that I know were sent. Signing up for Interfolio. Birth cert copy came. Woo. Mailed out IF forms to profs. Sigh!
    18: Mailed out Rush's sig page & birth cert.
    19: Pritzker is complete (Email). 4 out of 5 Letters @ both UPitt and Mount Sinai. Ordering what's needed at Interfolio...
    20: Received/Submitted NYMC. No essays. NYU is complete (Email). Decided to apply to three more out of state schools: Albany, Temple, Medical College of Ohio. Why not?
    21: Sent a reminder email to profs/letter writers to do Interfolio. This way I can get my new three schools out the door when they come.
    22: Mailed UIC. Sent Loyola to my editor with a 7/1 deadline.
    23: Sent in Temple. Here's to another week!
    24: USPS online is showing that UIC's secondary arrived. Woo!
    25: Complete at Rush! Sent 5th letter to NYMC via IF. C'mon UIC.
    26: UIC Complete and FILE IN PROGRESS! Mt. Sinai COMPLETE!
    31: NYMC Complete (online), Northwestern In Progress.
    Summary: Submitted 9 more secondaries. Now complete @9 schools!

    August
    1: RFU secondary comes.
    2: Loyola secondary comes.
    3: Sent NU to editor.
    4: Mailed out Loyola. Got Albany's secondary. Wright State is showing LOR's--but am I complete?
    5: Feinberg back from editor, submitted Feinberg.
    7: Feinberg Status shows complete.
    8: Update from Columbia showing they are missing a letter. Overnight by IF should fix that one. Received Med Coll Ohio (Toledo). Sent reminder email to profs about IF, which I will need for Temple, Albany and Toledo. I am not even worrying about completing Albany/Toledo right now since I am waiting on those letters!
    9: Mailed RFU, waiting on my final Prof to IF! Let's do this!
    10: My first rejection, in the mail. Goodbye, Pritzker.
    11: All professors have turned in docs to IF! Packet sent to Temple.
    20: Got letter from Loyola saying complete! Ordered Drexel, Albany and Toledo's letters from IF.
    21: Mailed out Drexel. Need to write Albany and Toledo. Added SLU to AMCAS.
    22: Learned that I will be reviewed at SIU in late September. Sit back and wait! :)
    23: Invited to Secondary at Saint Louis University.
    24: Submitted SLU. Still dragging on Albany and Toledo. Sigh!
    Found out I was complete at RFU (via Phone!) Yay!
    25: Got RFU email confirming that was complete.
    28: Submitted Albany's secondary. Got email from Columbia-complete!
    All that's left is Med Coll Ohio & SIU (c'mon SIU!)
    29: Checked online, Complete at St. Louis! Yes!
    Summary: Submitted 5 more secondaries. Complete @6 more schools.

    By End of August
    15 Complete, 3 Pending Complete, 1 Rejection= 17 Chances Still!
    1 On 'Hold' (SIU, should be reviewed in Sept)

    September
    1: Is September going to be the month for me? Come on interviews!
    19: In 'Favorable Pool' for Medical College Wisconsin. Let's do this.
    29:Sent out update letters to my schools. Had change of address and job.

    October
    3: SWEET, SWEET OCTOBER! UIC!! YES!! I LOVE YOU UIC!! YEAH!!!! Put one on the board...YES!
    4: Got letter dated 10-2 from SIU--I am a 'Screener's Alternate.' Damn.
    5: Pitt status says they sent me some correspondence. That is either a hold or the boot. Damn! (Update: Yeah, it's a rejection. Poo.)
    6: Designated Carver School of Medicine. What's another $130? Haha.
    17: LOYOLA! STRITCH! SCHOOL! OF! MEDICINE! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
    20: Complete at Carver. C'mon Rush. Let's do this.
    31: ROSALIND! FRANKLIN! CHICAGO! MEDICAL! SCHOOL! YEAH!

    By End of October
    3 Interview Invites, 2 Interviews Completed!
    Pending at several great schools.

    November
    Will November bring some good news? In committee at Loyola and UIC after my interviews in the first few weeks of November. Please, please, please. Let's see that MD acceptance!

    9: Letter from Loyola. I'm going to be a DOCTOR!

    December
    1: Email from UIC--I am still under review. What-EVER!
    5: Rosalind Franklin interview. Very nice campus, really nice students.
    12: Albany puts me on HOLD, pre-interview. Thanks for the update.
    I still haven't heard from a bunch of schools I applied to. What's going on, guys?

    June 23rd, 2006-When I was verified by AMCAS.
    June 26th, 2006-I started to receive secondaries.
    July 20th, 2006-I decided to add three schools to my AMCAS.
    August 10th, 2006-First Rejection Letter-Pritzker. This was hard.
    August 11th, 2006-All 5 LOR writers got their back-up letter to IF.
    August 21st, 2006-In a moment of weakness, I added another school.
    October 3rd, 2006-UIC Interview Invite!
    October 17th, 2006-Loyola Interview Invite!
    October 31st, 2006-Rosalind Franklin Interview Invite!
    November 9th, 2006-Loyola Acceptance!
    December 1st, 2006-Post-Interview HOLD (under review) @ UIC
