    Summary of Application Experience

5/1: Talked with all my recommenders and gave them my packet of stuff to help them know more about me (I have 5: 1 bio, 1 chem, 1 math, 1 from my major advisor, and 1 from the pediatrician I shadowed)
5/11: AMCAS received transcript from the first college I went to
5/12: Bio recommender e-mailed and said he's done with my letter. Woah, he's fast!
    5/15: AMCAS, PS are done
5/22: AMCAS received transcript from SMC
5/28: My major advisor recommender said she is done with her letter

6/07: Chem recommender said he is done with my letter (only 1 more academic reference to go!)
6/11: Submitted AMCAS (to IU, Loyola, Cinncinati, and Georgetown)! The only consistent advice I've received is to apply EARLY, so I decided to go ahead and send it in. I figure I can send update letters once my summer classes are through. I can add the other schools after my MCAT scores come in.
6/12: Math recommender is done with her letter (yay! they're all done!)
6/14: AMCAS is done processing. Wow! 3 days!
6/18: Pediatrician that I shadowed is done with his letter. Woohoo!
    6/19: MCAT scores finally arrived!
6/20: Added Creighton, Emory, and Ohio State to AMCAS. Now, the waiting begins for secondaries.
6/23: Secondary received from OSU. Woah! Was not expecting it to be so quick
    6/26: Secondary received from Georgetown
6/27: Pediatrician sent his LOR's to Georgetown and OSU (my advisor is at an all week conference, so my academic ones won't go out until the first week of July)
6/28: I've written OSU's, Georgetown's, and Loyola's (from last year) secondary essays. Now, lots of editing. I want to get OSU's and Georgetown's sent in before the 4th
6/30: Sent in Creighton's online secondary. I need to mail in another form and will do that tomorrow or Monday

7/1: Submitted Georgetown's, OSU's, the the second half of Creighton's secondaries and bought a suit for interviews :)
7/3: Advisor said she'd send out my LOR's this week *crosses fingers*
7/5: Oops! Apparently I forgot to tell my recommenders that I applied to Creighton and two of them put the different schools' names on the different envelopes. I e-mailed them, hopefully this will be resolved soon! Also, OSU posted they received my clinical letter
7/6: Bio recommender sent new letter to pre-med advisor for Creighton (1 down, 1 to go). OSU and Georgetown have officially received my secondaries (and $$)
7/7: Math recommender sent new letter to pre-med advisor for Creighton (that was fast!)
7/11: Complete at Georgetown and OSU
7/14: Advisor is on vacation for the rest of July but will send out letter packets around the end of July/early August if I get secondaries between now and then
7/15: Sent updates to OSU and Georgetown in regards to my grades in my first summer session
7/16: Submitted U. of Cincinnati's secondary and also sent them an email about my summer course grades
7/17: Woohoo! Loyola secondary came today!
7/18: Discovered that Loyola also wants a LOR from a prof at my first undergrad. Will contact a prof tomorrow, hopefully she'll be willing to write one!
7/20: Yay, she'll write a letter. She said she'd get it to Loyola by August 28th (I'm crossing my fingers for earlier, but that date would be fine, I think)
    7/25: Mailed out Loyola's secondary!
    7/26: Creighton cashed my check

    8/2: File Complete at Creighton!
8/4: Secondary packet from IU! Technically, it got here yesterday, but I just got home today. It says I should get my interview date in about 4-6 weeks via e-mail
8/5: Mailed $$ and legal form to IU. Pediatrician I shadowed said he would send out his letter/form to them today, too. Trying to figure out who the right person is to send the 'Dean's Letter' form
8/8: Sent summer school grades to my schools
8/9: IU Interview!! Oh my gosh, I'm so excited!! So much for 4-6 weeks!
8/10: I wish my advisor would send my LORs to IU, Loyola, and U. of Cincinnati...I want to be complete!
8/11: For some reason, I was afraid maybe Loyola did not receive my secondary so I caved and called them. Luckily, they do have it :)
8/14: Prof from first college mailed her LOR today! I wasn't expecting it so soon! Awesome
8/21: Submitted IU's Dean's Letter to correct office and complete at U. of Cincinnati
8/24: Since Loyola only does status checks on Thursdays, I called today and my file is complete! I'm finally complete everywhere, so now the waiting begins...

9/5: Got Loyola's letter saying I'm complete...not that I didn't already know that, but it's nice to hear from them nonetheless :)
9/6: IU Interview! It went well...I had the nicest 75 year old man ever
9/7: Called Loyola and they said my app has been reviewed and has been placed in the re-review at a later date pile :(
    9/8: Creighton interview invite!
9/11: Scheduled Creighton interview for 10/13
9/13: Called IU just to make sure they have my LOR's and the Dean's Certification form, and they do (yay)
9/16: Received postcard from IU saying I'm complete (dated 9/14)
9/19: G-town rejection letter received, not terribly surprised

10/13: Interview at Creighton! Great place!!
10/20: IU ACCEPTANCE!! I'm going to medical school! :-D
10/20 part 2: Withdrew from OSU and Cinci

11/3: CREIGHTON ACCEPTANCE!! Woohoo! I called them and they told me over the phone. Letters are going out today, so I should get it sometime next week. I also confirmed that IU got my letter reserving my spot in the class
11/14: Got email from Creighton saying they received my reservation for a spot in the class and my deposit

    12/06: Withdrew from Loyola
