I was involved in many leadership programs and had substantial involvement in shadowing. I also participated in research and was able to get some of my work published. I had a considerable amount of community service, and I was able to perform in leadership roles for different community service organizations.

Summary of Application Experience
I applied as early as possible, and I believe that this helped tremendously. Since my grades and MCAT scores were marginal, I relied on very strong letters of recommendation. I ended up withdrawing from Georgetown (after interviewing), South Alabama (before interviewing), and Colorado (before submitting secondary) because I had already been accepted to my top choice school.
