didn't shadow until the summer I submitted my app
overthought the app and didn't include my real "most meaningful experiences" because I thought it'd be too redundant after talking about them in my personal statement. instead chose my next top 3 "most meaningful". probably hurt my chances at some places.
had a IA for drinking I honestly forgot about AFTER submitting
after this third realization I thought my app was doomed, but updated schools via email - no problem, was never asked about it in interviews. got some interviews later and was a little reassured.
Summary of Experience:
thought the interview as fine, but after realizing how naturally excited I was to interview at michigan, I knew this interview didn't actually go so well
2/3 received email that I was in a "very select group of excellent individuals under active consideration to become a member" later to find I was waitlisted bottom half
