Summary of Application Experience
This is my second year applying. -------------------------------------------------------------- App Cycle for 2006: April 2005 MCAT 27M AMCAS complete mid-Aug Apps not complete until 1/13/06 due to lost LOR. MCG interview feb'06; wl Mercer interview mar'06; wl Accepted to Mercer may'06. Declined offer with a great deal of thought. I visited Mercer as an undergrad twice and then for the interview. I didn't fit in well with students and the school. I didn't like the all-PBL curriculum, and I didn't like the waiver I had to sign that restricted what field I can go into. I decided to wait one more year and reapply. Could have been a bad move. -------------------------------------------------------------- App Cycle for 2007: MCAT retook Aug 2006 AMCAS complete 9/28 MCG interview 11/15 Emory interview 11/17 Duke interview 11/29 Wake Forest interview 2/26
3/2: Accepted to MCG. So relieved. I will be perfectly happy if this is my only option.
3/23: Wake acceptance. Now I have a choice... waiting for finaid.
5/15: Withdrew from MCG. I am going to Wake Forest!
