Cycle went way better than expected. I think my process is a pretty good example of how anything can happen. I thought I was going to be Dead on Arrival with a 9 verbal score and considered retaking the new MCAT, but a few top programs gave me a shot and it worked out. UCSF was a total moonshot--especially being from out of state. I submitted a LOI in mid-April disguised as an update (they aren't open to outright LOIs) got the best news of my life two weeks later.

Withdrew to hold Georgetown. I'd consider this acceptance the crowning achievement of my cycle. I was running out of $ so instead of booking a hotel I flew a redeye, changed in the airport bathroom, went from the airport to the interview and then back to the airport. Somehow managed to snag an acceptance. I really really liked this program and think that in 5 or so years it'll break top 50. Very unique approach to med education--really trying to learn from older medical schools' mistakes and implement positive change in the way med students learn. This was my most pleasant surprise of the cycle View School >
