It was tough, because I was waitlisted at a lot of places. I got accepted off the waitlist at 3 schools, though... so it IS possible. And I did NOT write any 'letters of interest/intention' to get off the waitlist. Unless you've done something outstanding since they got your file, don't bother to add more.
