Summary of Application Experience
5/11 Accepted at VCU off the waitlist!
3/21 Waitlisted at VCU. Nine waitlists from ten interviews. I guess there will be no more news until late May.
3/15 Middle tier waitlist from U-Michigan. But who cares, I already have one acceptance!
3/13/06 Received my first acceptance, from Drexel! This is such a relief. I still have some waiting to do for the CA schools, but this will make the wait a lot easier.
03/01/06 Rejected by UCLA, which is more depressing than I thought it would be.
02/14/06 Post-interview hold from Ohio State. Only Drexel remains, and from what they said I should hear back in the next two weeks.
01/03/06 Another waitlist from MSSM. VCU 'decided to send a very limited number of offers out for the February group' but I was not among them, so I'll have to wait til mid-March for a decision.
12/22/05 I will remain on the deferred decision list at U-M, which will next be reviewed in March. They only took about 10 of 125 people on that list this week, so this was not unexpected. Of course it's still depressing.
12/21/05 Another invite, from Ohio State! I was just about ready to give up on getting any more interviews.
12/17/05 I think the interview at VCU went well, and the school was very impressive. It sounds like I'll hear from them around the end of January. Rumor has it the U-M decisions will come by 12/23.
11/29/05 Yesterday and today I was told by UC Irvine and UC Davis that I'm on a post-interview hold, so my file will be reviewed at some future time (which sounded like the end of the interview season). I'm on a similar hold at U of Michigan, except they plan to make the decision in December. So, 0/6 at this point.
08/12/05 My first interview! So exciting. Four CA schools done, including UCSF. $3340 + $380 airfare.
08/01/05 Two CA schools done, two in progress, three yet to be heard from. $2730 so far including MCAT, AMCAS, and secondaries.
07/05/05 AMCAS verification complete. Waiting for secondaries.
06/26/05 Submitted AMCAS, waiting for processing.
