Summary of Application Experience
Note: Science GPA = 3.53 for the D.O. schools. Also, I had a 3.6+ BCPM and a 3.7+ overall during my soph. and jr. yrs. I do think that upward trends in your grades count for alot. They got lots of bad grades freshman year looked over somewhat. :-)
This admissions cycle has been the most positive and affirming thing in the world for me. I know alot of people can't say that, so I feel so blessed. I think this profile helps to show that numbers aren't everything and that applying early is a huge help. Also that living in a med school-rich state like OH is good. :-) Good luck to all, the journey really is tedious but when you get those first acceptances it's sooo worth it. And never let anyone tell you after you bomb your first year of school and get straight Cs in chemistry that it's over! The people who get in are those who stay focused and stay determined even while struggling...I don't care who you are and what background you're from, you WILL get in if you work HARD enough for LONG enough.
I will be attending the Wright State University School of Medicine, starting on July 30, 2006...and I am SO excited. :)
