Brief Profile:
I submitted AMCAS June 2 and was verified by June 25. However, my committee letter was not uploaded until the end of July, so I was not complete at most schools until then.

Application Cycle One: 05/31/2015
Undergraduate Area of study: Biological/Life Sciences
Summary of Experience:
SR 7/29/15 (glitch in the system made them send some secondaries late) | SS 7/29/15 | R 10/26/15 (silent rejection - that is the date I noticed it)
Summary of Experience:
SR 7/17/2015 | SS 7/26/2015 | II 7/27/15 | IA 10/16/15 | W 10/26/15
The campus at West Virginia is BEAUTIFUL - really modern and scenic. They just redesigned their Sim center, and it was very impressive. I liked their global health track, which seemed useful/practical (had additional classes required for enrollment in the program) and allowed you to easily take advantage of global health opportunities (mostly an international elective in your fourth year).
Waitlisted - but I am not surprised, since from what I have read it seems that they waitlist most OOS applicants and then draw a lot of them from the waitlist later on.
Summary of Experience:
SR 7/6/15 | SS 7/13/15 | II 9/14/15 | IA 10/9/15 | A 3/10/2016
The interview day was nice - presentations were informative and useful. They really emphasize their diverse patient populations (ethnic diversity and economic diversity) - which is something I am really excited about! Students can also take the opportunity to do Global Health initiatives the summer between MS1 and MS2 or as an elective in MS4. The administration also seems supportive of the students, ensuring that they are happy and not unnecessarily stressed - this seemed apparent when talking to students, who had active lives outside of their classes. The only negative is that I felt their medical school building was not super impressive (just a bit shabby looking) - but that is made up for by great clinical and research opportunities.
