Summary of Application Experience
Like everyone says, apply early. Not only are you more likely to get interviews, it is MUCH less stressful to do apps in the summer than try to fit them in when you're in school. I found the interview process to be fun and a great chance to really see if you fit at a school. It's a good idea to think about answers to standard interview questions (like, why do you want to be a doctor?) and be knowledgeable about current events in medicine, but don't 'memorize' responses. The whole apps/interview process is expensive (both in time and money), so only apply to schools you are truly interested in attending. Consider what is important to you in a med school first, then research schools and narrow your choices before you apply. Finally have fun with the apps process- the MCAT is the hardest part!
