Now that the application cycle is over I will try to put a bit more information here in hopes that it will be helpful for some of you in the future. There were MANY things I wish I had done differently, but in the end I am going to one of my top choices and I am very lucky that things turned out so fortunately!
Stats: Top ~25 school Double major in Econ and Biology GPA: 3.95 MCAT: 36 (14/10/12)
Clinical Volunteering (sigh...my downfall, please apply with more hours than me) -25 hours on application -updated with 100-150 in September/October
Research -4 years in on lab -Large award, other fellowships -Several conferences and posters, NO pubs
Teaching -several TA positions in Econ and Bio
Employment -Couple of relatively interesting summer internships in tangentially related fields -Gap year position in scientific consulting
Other -Held leadership position in honor's society on campus
