Summary of Application Experience
Wow, what a crazy ride! I never expected I would be in such a great position at the end of the cycle since I did not have enough confidence in myself before applying.
Tips: Use greyhound/megabus/vamoose/etc. whenever possible. It will save you money! Stay with student hosts. Give yourself time to briefly explore the area.
If you are applying with your significant other, make sure to have a lengthy discourse in order to figure out which schools to apply to. Also, consider discussing various hypothetical scenarios along the way. Most importantly, do what is best for you! Try to make your school decision based on what you value rather than placing too much weight on the relationship.
Summary of Experience:
This was my first interview invite, but seeing how my earliest option was January they did not seem too interested in me. Withdrawing since Richmond seems like it is a dying city. Attended their open house, but the fit is not there!
Summary of Experience:
WD- cheapest option....so sad about turning them down.
If you told me a year ago that I would be turning down an offer at my childhood dream school, I would have told you were wrong. Things change, however. Though I really wanted to love this school since it is such an amazing opportunity, I did not feel the fit here. I felt completely out of place and I knew it would be a tough four years.
With no clear idea about what my financial aid package would look like, I decided to withdraw. It's time to leave Hampton Roads....and maybe even Virginia.
