Summary of Application Experience
August MCAT in the summer of my sophomore year.
Applied the second week of June via AMCAS.
All secondaries were done by the end of August and were all pre-reqs.
Interviewed from late August until the week before Thanksgiving, with the exception of Stanford which didn't start interviews until Dec/Jan.
Was accepted by Oct. 15th at UMich, which allowed me to withdraw from many schools.
Remained on two waitlists- accepted off Hopkins May 24th and Stanford June 13th without sending any updates, letters, or completed transcript.
Advice: Construct a broad list, especially if you aren't sure what you want. And apply and interview as soon as possible at a rolling school like OSU, UVA, MICH, Vanderbilt, etc. so that hopefully, you can have an acceptance early on allowing you to withdraw from schools where you wouldn't be as happy.
