This application cycle was an emotional roller coaster, but I couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. I knew that the Texas schools would be a throw away with my less-than-stellar stats, but I'm glad I tried anyways. I also had very strong upward trends in my overall and science GPAs through college (my sGPA took a major hit from a few dual-credit courses I took in high school).
MCAT Scores: MCAT I (January): 8/6/11 (25 total; BS/PS/VR, no writing score) MCAT II (August Retake, same year): 12/12/10 (34 total; BS/PS/VR, no writing score)
ECs: -Significant part-time job during college; full-time work during high school and gap year. -<50 hours shadowing prior to submitting application. ->150 hours split of volunteer and leadership positions.
