Hi All - I wanted to show that people with below average numbers get in, too!
My disclaimer is that as my boyfriend pointed out, I am a bit of an outlier. Here's why:
First gen college student, double-majored Pre-Med and Spanish. Bi-lingual English/Spanish. Conversational in a third language.
Numerous medical experiences in college, hospice volunteering, medical practicum, employee at the on-campus med center. TA'ed a number of science classes. Year-long study abroad in South America with volunteer experience in a prison.
After graduation - 3 months in India shadowing a Public Health Program. Fulbright ETA in SE Asia 2 years of AmeriCorps/Community Health Corps in Homeless Health Care. Currently working full time in HIV/AIDS Health Care.

Did an app status check in February and saw something funny. Called admissions was informed I didn't submit enough LORs. Requested to be considered after immediately submitting the missing LOR. Request denied. :(
