So I had a rather interesting (and I guess really lucky!) experience in that I got accepted to essentially my top choice (SUNY Downstate) really early into the cycle (November 1st!). As such I basically withdrew my app from everywhere else. I went on three interviews (Upstate, Stony Brook, Hofstra) after my acceptance just to relieve my FOMO but I clearly did not display sufficient interest so I was not at all surprised to not get accepted. Either way I'm really thrilled that I got into Downstate that early! Made what could have been the most stressful year really easy! My advice to future applicants is to get your application in early!!! I feel like my app didn't have such a great chance at a lot of the upper level schools (NYU, Cornell, Columbia, etc) that receive a ton of apps because my MCAT scores didn;t come in until very late August.
