Brief Profile:
Graduated in 2013. Currently on a gap year working in public health in NYC. Majored in Urban Studies with a concentration in education, minored in Spanish and Chemistry. Fluent in Spanish. Profile very focused on women's health, access to healthcare, urban healthcare, health education, etc. Applied MD/MPH at several schools. I am applying to a lot of schools mostly because I am looking for MD/MPH and also because I'm your typical paranoid premed.
Clinical: -100 hours shadowing (OBGYN, surgery, primary, ER) -200 hours volunteering at a clinic (translating spanish)
Research: -4 years in same lab, urban women's health -2 pubs (1 of them as 1st author), 4 posters
Summers: 1) Counselor at overnight wilderness camp 2) 2 months biking cross-country (raised 15k for a hospital) 3) Internship at Planned Parenthood -Spent 1 week at overnight camp for kids of cancer patients during summers 2 and 3
