Summary of Experience:
The interview was awesome, and if you have any questions about the military, residency, student life, etc. there are plenty of opportunities to have your questions answered. The school exceeded my expectations and is easily one of my top choices.
Summary of Experience:
Very straightforward "Super Saturday" interview where they have multiple groups of people getting interviewed in the same day. Because of this format the interview is very businesslike and to the point. We had a clinician speak to us for an hour about being a doctor, and then we went straight to the interviews. The MMI format is different than the traditional interview, but no different than any other MMI school. Be yourself, try to explain your ideas logically, and in the acting situations just try to treat it real even though it is awkward =).
Overall I liked the school, but they really didn't try to "sell" the school or recruit during the interview.
Summary of Experience:
This was my first interview day with a small group (~7) of interviewees, and I enjoyed it a lot more than having a large group. The time at the school felt a lot more personal and it was much easier to ask questions to medical students when you pretty much had one-on-one interactions.
Three conversational interviews, but they all had specific points about the application you could tell they wanted to address. They coincided with the extracurricular requirements the school has in place.
Lastly I really liked the opportunities to conduct research, and I feel like that was a strong emphasis at the school.
Summary of Experience:
The interview day here was probably my favorite that I've had. Their new Health Sciences Education Building is amazing and was by far the most aesthetically pleasing campus that I have seen. The staff and students are very friendly, and personally I love the location in Phoenix. They have some great clinical partnerships with large hospitals in the area, and overall I loved the school. They do conduct MMI here as well as in Tucson.
Summary of Experience:
Very nice interview day. Definitely felt like they put a lot of effort into trying to recruit the applicants to the school. They are still fine tuning the curriculum and they weren't afraid to make that point known. The interviews themselves were very laid back and conversational.
