Majored in the social sciences in undergrad, decided during my senior year that I wanted to pursue medicine. Did a formal structured postbacc 2012-2013, and am taking a gap year to apply, work in a hospital, and in general live life as a real person for a year before med school starts.
Work/Activites: Lots of lab experience Gap year job in clinical research Very involved in undergrad, lots of entertaining extracurriculars
Clinical experience: -Community mental health program -Suburban hospital (patient visiting) -Free clinic volunteer (which I absolutely love)
What I'm doing if this doesn't work out: Brewing beer out of my basement and starting the next Dogfish Head (obviously)

Penned a heartfelt letter about how much I loved Jesuits. Looks like it didn't move the Admissions Committee. Could have been great Georgetown, but I guess we just weren't meant to be.
