Summary of Application Experience
Applied only MD/PhD
I'm very happy with the outcome. If I were to have any regrets, I would say it would have to be applying fairly top-heavy. Things got pretty nerve-wracking in January-ish with only waitlists and rejections, but ultimately worked out later.

Summary of Experience:
First interview of the app cycle, so I think my nerves might have gotten the best of me. Everything here seemed great. Would have liked to have had this one later in the cycle.
Summary of Experience:
Was really impressed by Michigan. The leadership seemed great, and the students were some of the most easy-going people I've met. Bummed by the rejection, but I suppose it's for the best.
Summary of Experience:
Columbia seems like a really great place. I was slightly intimidated before interviewing, but it didn't take me long to realize how down-to-earth people are there. Waitlisted with a not-so-great chance of getting off the list, so I just withdrew to fully commit to a different school.
Summary of Experience:
I was very impressed with Bellevue and Korean BBQ dinner! Some of the interviews were tough, and tensions were high when we heard that they interview more than 100 people for only 25 anticipated acceptances.
Summary of Experience:
Mayo is an absolutely gorgeous hospital. Being from the Midwest, I wasn't as worried about Rochester as perhaps some of my fellow interviewees, but I definitely could see myself living there. I truly believe that the education at Mayo is top-notch. That said, their style of teaching didn't quite match my style of learning. Additionally, there weren't many labs that suited my interests.
Summary of Experience:
Biggest surprise of the app season. Amazing leadership at UNC! Current students seem very happy. I would suggest applying to UNC to any MD/PhD hopeful.
