Summary of Application Experience
Non-Trad applicant, second cycle. Last year I had very little clinical exposure that was long-term, and was interviewed/waitlisted. After becoming an EMT and volunteering with the local Fire Department I felt I could be a very strong applicant this cycle.
While I have gotten almost all the interviews in my area, I have yet to get the all important acceptance, just some waitlists. I should have applied more broadly no doubt, though there are only 4 schools that would honestly work well for me and my significant other due to work opportunities. Thankfully I am waitlisted at 2, waiting to hear from one post-interview, and in the GWU ultra-small chance of still interviewing.
So things have gone fairly well. The schools that were not likely to work out as well for me may have picked up on a little less excitement in those school secondaries.
Summary of Experience:
Interviewed and was waitlisted last cycle- St Louis is not my first choice though and I felt I had a good shot at other schools. Still waiting for an acceptance, hope it comes soon so I don't regret leaving this one off at the secondary. Had some life events that restricted my ability to complete all secondaries I intended to.
