Summary of Experience:
Finally got the secondary request on sept 14, but at this point I\'m done with secondaries.
Summary of Experience:
Kind of difficult to get the fee waiver applied. Had to email often. 07/27/2012 Got an email saying that due to the information received and competitive nature of their applicant pool I had not been selected to interview. Kind of strange, but their loss in my opinion. :)
Summary of Experience:
The secondary is a strange form that must be filled out on the computer but then printed and signed and then scanned and emailed or mailed in. Never sent in secondary. Meh... Guess that\'s pretty much withdrawing
Summary of Experience:
Will add more dates later. Got an interview invite but ended up withdrawing from this school since I have many other interviews and this school requires genetics, which I haven\'t taken and dont want to go back to school to take it.
Summary of Experience:
Will add more dates later. Got an interview invite, but I have many interviews at lots of other more preferable schools so I withdrew. My relatives in Washington will be upset.
Summary of Experience:
I never heard from this school until I was told that my application had been moved to the \"decision deferred\" status on 7/19/2012 Apparently a secondary request here equals an interview invite so they prescreen well. I saw that I had been selected for an interview on 08/10/2012 but didn\'t receive an email about it until...a week and a half later. With the invite via email, there is a secondary app with a few essay questions and it must be mailed within a week of receiving the email. Ended up withdrawing my app after getting an acceptance at LECOM-Erie since west Virginia is far away from everything I know and love and I\'ve already got a bunch of other interviews scheduled.
Summary of Experience:
Interview invite but I\'ve already got so many and there\'s no interview spots open until November so I may not schedule. They gave me 3 weeks to schedule an interview before they will cancel my interview. Ended up withdrawing because I have so many other interviews including one at the Mesa campus of ATSU, which I like the weather in AZ better. Lol
Summary of Experience:
Phone call for interview invite. Eventually withdrew since I was accepted at LECOM-Erie and just plain don\'t know much about LMU.
Summary of Experience:
Yes, I got an interview invite before getting an email saying that my secondary was complete. I'll take it anyway! Interview was good, but for some reason I wasn't as impressed with this campus of LECOM. It wasn't that people weren't friendly, they just weren't as friendly as Erie. Can't beat the beach though! Interview was on a Friday, committee met the following Tuesday and sent out their decision. I called on Thursday and asked the admissions office what the decision was. I was wait listed. No biggie, since I preferred and was accepted at Erie. Don't think I interviewed as well since I didn't sleep much the two days before. I just wasn't thinking clearly or quickly.
I ended up sending an email to withdraw after getting into COMP-NW
I was very impressed by this school on the day of the interview. Very collaborative and friendly atmosphere. I was surprised by how well first year students (only a month or two into school) knew the faculty and how friendly they were with each other. The facilities of this school are quite impressive, especially things like the surgical skills lab. Lots of opportunities for TA positions, club activities, etc. Overall very good impression.
I don't know the exact day I got the email, but I was waitlisted shortly after the interview. It's too bad, I'm not sure what it was about the interview that drew them to waitlsit me, but it's ok since I was accepted at COMP-NW. I ended up withdrawing my application.
Summary of Experience:
The pre-interview social was great, I highly recommend it. Wonderful chance to not only be seen, but to get to know students and staff. Extremely friendly yet professional environment. The curriculum is, in my opinion, top notch. Geared towards early clinical skills including patient contact and differential diagnosis. Moving to the community health center for years 2-4 sounds kind of scary, but honestly not more so than most of the rotation sites that other schools have. It's kind of a gamble wherever you choose to go.
Took them a really long time to tell me if I got in or not. I called them finally to update my address, mentioning that I hadn't heard anything about my interview results. They called me a half hour later with the acceptance.
Withdrew via email the next day since I was already accepted at COMP-NW..
Summary of Experience:
I wasn't expecting a lot from my first interview or from LECOM-Erie, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the school and interview process. I chose PBL. Interview was on a Friday and the committee reviewed complete apps the following Wednesday and sent out letters. The Monday after that I got my acceptance in the mail. They gave me until sept 23 to reply and pay the deposit. I'll probably have to do that since I will not have heard from any other schools by then. Even if this is the only acceptance I get, I would be happy to attend this school.
I ended up not sending in my deposit for this school. I found out I was accepted to NOVA just before the deadline.
Summary of Experience:
brief secondary The interview was very informative. Awesome facilities and very good board pass rates. I would be very happy to get an acceptance here.
Accepted! So glad to have more options!
Withdrew via email after getting accepted at COMP-NW. A week later got a letter in the mail saying that since I had withdrawn, they were rescinding the offer of a seat. :)
Summary of Experience:
Primary campus choice is Lebanon, OR Got an interview invite and scheduled for the end of September.
Interview was great. I would highly recommend going to the pre-interview social the night before. It was great to sit and talk with current students and faculty in a very casual and relaxed setting. I was impressed with the familiarity and closeness of the group. The interview day itself strengthened that impression. When I had toured the school earlier this summer, I was unimpressed by the single, small building and tiny town. I was blown away by meeting the staff and faculty and town leaders at the interview though. This school may be small and new right now, but they are progressing at a rapid rate and I like what I see in their future. I am happy that I will be going here.
Summary of Experience:
07/26/2012 Saw on SDN that some people had interview invites from AZCOM through their portal on the school website. I went and checked and sure enough I had one. My first II! Interview was quite good. The school is great and the staff and students are very friendly. Honestly every student we saw on campus was visibly happy.
Got the acceptance phone call literally minutes after finishing my DMU interview! Great school, but I ended up withdrawing after my COMP-NW acceptance.
