Brief Profile:
Double major in engineering and humanities (very unique combination, but don't want to be more specific at the risk of identifying myself). Didn't decide on medicine until my 5th year of undergrad.
EC's: - Research - lots of years in lots of disciplines, 5 pubs - AmeriCorps 1 year - clinical - Various unique student clubs with long commitment - Lots of leadership in aforementioned clubs - Significant on-clinical volunteering - Completed 3 marathons and 2 half marathons - Tutor
Problems with my 1st App: 1. LATE!!!! 2. Not enough medical experience. My majors are non-traditional to say the least. Didn't decide on medicine until the bitter end, so didn't have a lot of time for the usual pre-med clinical experiences. Been working on this for the past 2 years. 3. GPA - not a lot I can do about that. I have a frighteningly huge number of units. Oh well. Not terrifying either. 4. MCAT - I had the time to study for a retake, so why not? Turned out to be a great decision! Think long and hard before you retake a 35. Make sure you have enough time (minimum 4 months), that you know you can do better, and that it's worth it.
Note I have changed my interview dates to reflect beginning middle or end of the month, but not the actual day I interviewed.

Summary of Experience:
They had my secondary for a total of 12 hours before rejecting me. The one thing I can say about U of C is they don't string you along, but I definitely feel like they never even gave me a chance. At least the other schools pretend to be giving your application a thorough review. Waste of money.
Summary of Experience:
I was waitlisted here my first time applying (this was my only interview), but they chose not to offer me another interview. A little sad, but I don't think the school was a good fit for me anyways.
