Brief Profile:
I am a re-applicant from the 2010 cycle. I had gotten 3 interviews (2 at top 20 schools). I re-evaluated myself and my desire to pursue medicine, and in those 2 years, realized that I still wanted to pursue medicine. I looked at my strengths and weaknesses, tried as much as I could to improve my weaknesses (clinical experience) while still maintaining my strengths (research). I didn\'t know how this year would pan out, was really nervous and scared I would get rejected again, but was very humbled to receive interviews and acceptances and truly great universities. Always be true to yourself and stay positive throughout the trail. It\'s long, but in the end, it\'ll be worthwhile. :]

12/9/11: I feel so HONORED to be granted acceptances to these great medical schools. I am incredibly humbled by these acceptances, and know that it could have also gone the other way. I never thought I would have to choose between attending top notch medical school programs, and am honored to have this opportunity. It\\\'s been a LOOOOONG road to get to this point, and I know I still have a LOOOOOOONG way to go in my medical career, but right now, it\\\'s all about taking it in and enjoying it.
Good luck, everyone! It\\\'s a crazy ride, but stay positive!! :D
Summary of Experience:
OUWB is a really great school. Their culture really is an innovation to medical education and probably sets them apart. I loved my interview there and they really made me feel welcome. There\'s a lot of PBL and TBL so collaboration is key, and they\'ve got a lot of great support systems for the students.
Summary of Experience:
Top-notch primary care facility. Students are really happy, the facilities could use some updating, but its a great education there. Grading is equivalent to letter grades the first 2 years.
Summary of Experience:
Fell in love with the PRIME-LC program and Irvine SOM. The location is ideal (I\'ve been spoiled by growing up in California) so that I don\'t have to deal with crazy LA traffic, yet am close to all friends and family. Love the incorporation of technology into medicine, and think the innovativeness of ultrasound into the curriculum and the practice of medicine. Irvine students are the happiest I\'ve seen, although I\'m not gonna lie, I don\'t like the idea of tests every week, but it\'s med school, what are you gonna do? Also, H/P/F for the 1st two years is a bummer, but students didn\'t seem at all competitive. :)
Summary of Experience:
What is there to NOT love about NYU? Manhattan was beautiful (thank goodness the weather cooperated while I was there!), Bellevue seems amazing, love the curriculum and pre-clinical clerkships, and the students were happy (yay P/F for two years!). Cost of living is pretty expensive though, but thank goodness for subsidized student housing :)
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew 5/8/12 so hard to write that letter :(
I <3 CWRU! The students, faculty and staff are all so welcoming and NICE. I feel like all the schools are incorporating PBL in some way, but I get the sense that Case does it right. University Hospital, Rainbow Babies and Cleveland Clinic are amazing hospital to learn at. P/NP the first two years fosters a really tight, collaborative environment between students. Case really surprised me and I felt really at home here. Although, I\'m not excited about Cleveland, the thought is warming up on me. By far one of my best experiences. :D Thank you for giving me a chance, Case, I am truly honored to be given an acceptance here :) :)
Summary of Experience:
**Withdrew 4/26/12 -- hardest withdrawal letter to write, I really liked UPitt**applied MSTP** Reaaally great research school...program is top-notch. And they just said the first 2 years are now being switch to P/NP. UPMC is seriously a monopoly...the school is financially set, and the students like it there, it\'s a really great program and has a lot going for them, in my opinion. The city of Pittsburgh is pretty cool and there seems to be a lot of things to do there.
**Applied MSTP** Up and coming MSTP program, in my opinion. My interviewers were really great, the area is very suburban, and the MSTP staff was so kind and welcoming. A lot of opportunities for basic science research...yay!
